CEX releases monthly outlook: alt season is about to arrive in full force.
On August 15, CEX released its monthly outlook stating that the alt season is approaching. Although CEX's view on the alt season has changed, the outlook for the third quarter of 2025 remains optimistic. It believes that as September approaches, the current market conditions may indicate that the altcoin season is about to arrive in full swing. A common definition of the altcoin season is when at least 75% of the top 50 alts by market capitalization have outperformed BTC in the past 90 days. Many argue whether the Fed's interest rate cut in September indicates a local peak in the crypto assets market. CEX does not believe this is the case. Given that a large amount of retail investor capital is on the sidelines in money market funds (over $7 trillion) and other areas, the Fed's easing policies may release more potential for retail participation in the mid-term.
